Support
Search inside your PDFs — including the scanned ones.

Getting started
Tap Try the demo on the first screen. DocFind creates a few sample documents on your device, indexes them, runs text recognition on a scanned receipt, and searches them — no files and no setup needed. Leaving the demo removes every trace of it.
To use your own files, tap Add PDFs and pick them with the standard iOS file picker.
Common questions
- I searched for a word I can see in my document, and DocFind found nothing.
- That document is almost certainly a scan — a picture of text rather than text. DocFind will tell you when a library contains pages that are not searchable yet, and offers Search inside (OCR) to read them. Once that finishes, the words become searchable and results found that way are labelled OCR.
- How good is the text recognition?
- It is Apple's on-device recognition, and it is good on clean scans. Faint, skewed, very low resolution, or handwritten pages will produce mistakes. DocFind never claims a page is perfect — if a match looks wrong, open the page and check it against the original.
- Does DocFind upload my documents?
- No, and it cannot. The app is built with no network capability at all. Everything — indexing, searching and text recognition — happens on your device. See the privacy policy.
- What does DocFind Pro add?
- Unlimited documents and libraries, unlimited on-device text recognition, and exporting your results as CSV, Markdown, a formatted PDF report, or a new PDF containing only the pages that matched. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
- I bought Pro and it is not showing.
- Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still does not appear, email us.
- Can I get a refund?
- Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them ourselves, but do tell us what went wrong.
- A document disappeared, or DocFind says it cannot find a file.
- DocFind remembers where your files live rather than copying them. If a file was moved, renamed or deleted in the Files app, DocFind will say so and offer to point at it again.
- Indexing a large document is slow.
- Text recognition on scanned pages is the slow part — it is real work, done on your device. You can leave the screen and come back; DocFind reports progress and tells you honestly how much is left.
